France – Diving with sharks

France offers fascinating stretches of coastline on the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, where sharks are sighted on a regular basis. Shark diving is not currently possible here, but the region attracts marine biologists and wildlife observers who study the behaviour of species such as the blue shark, mako sharks and, occasionally, great white sharks. The French coast also features varied underwater landscapes with rocks, wrecks and abundant marine life, which make the diving experience worthwhile, even if sharks only rarely appear.
