For divers and marine biologists the Atlantic is particularly exciting, as it harbours a great diversity of shark species. These include, among others, blue sharks, mako sharks, hammerhead sharks, Fuchshaie and various species of reef sharks in tropical and subtropical regions. Many of these species use the Atlantic as a migration route, hunting ground or breeding area.
