Evolution Diving Resort

Evolution Diving Resort is one of Malapascua’s most interesting bases when shark diving and technical diving meet. The resort sits on the beach, works with SDI/TDI and links classic thresher shark trips with deeper, more demanding options at Kimud Shoal, Monad Shoal and Gato Island.

Shark diving

The clear focus is the pelagic thresher shark. Malapascua is famous for this species, and Evolution mainly uses the chances at Kimud Shoal. The sharks can rise from depth to the cleaning areas, often in early light that makes the wake-up call feel worth it. These are natural wildlife encounters without feeding.

There are further shark and big-fish possibilities too. Monad Shoal remains interesting for tiger shark chances and rarer large-shark sightings, while Gato Island adds a more reef-based side: whitetip reef sharks in caves, swim-throughs and ledges. Grey reef sharks, hammerheads and bull sharks are additional possibilities for the right conditions and profiles.

Area and trips

Evolution’s strength is its range. Holiday divers can enjoy the classic Malapascua sites, while experienced divers get more room through technical gas, deeper sites and clear logistics. Thresher sharks are possible year-round; for tiger sharks or other large species, several dive days and flexibility matter more than any fixed promise.
