Piranha Divers Okinawa is a small dive school in Onna Village in northern Okinawa Main Island. The center offers training, fun dives and excursions for English- and German-speaking divers. Local reefs, walls, coral sites and some more demanding spots make up the normal programme.
Shark diving
The shark angle is modest but realistic: grey reef sharks can appear at Manza Dream Hole when conditions and luck line up. This is scuba diving, not snorkelling, and not a scheduled shark guarantee. There is no reliable season to list. For Manza, buoyancy, calm wall diving and comfort with changing conditions matter more than on easy reef sites.
Northern Okinawa reefs
Beyond Manza, Piranha regularly dives places such as Maeda, Sunabe, Cape Zampa and the USS Emmons. Depending on the site, the focus can be coral, rock scenery, turtles, macro life, visibility, wrecks or walls. Divers looking for large hammerhead schools are better served by Yonaguni or Mikomoto; Piranha is more about flexible Okinawa dive days with a possible reef-shark bonus.
