Guatemala – Diving with sharks

Guatemala is not considered a classic diving destination, but exciting adventures await on the Pacific coast. Divers there experience volcanic reefs, abundant large pelagics and, seasonally, encounters with sharks, including silky sharks and hammerhead sharks. The remote sites and sometimes strong currents make diving particularly appealing to experienced adventurers seeking a less crowded alternative.
