Incident near Manjack Cay
An American tourist was injured in a shark attack on Monday afternoon in the northern Bahamas. According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the incident occurred around 2 p.m. near Manjack Cay, a group of islands in the Abacos also known as Nunjack Cay.
The man was on a boat with friends and had one leg dangling in the water when a shark suddenly bit. He was immediately taken to a nearby clinic, treated, and released the same day.
Police withhold details
The authorities did not release the name or age of the victim. The exact shark species responsible for the attack also remained unknown.
