Diverse underwater world
The region is known for its varied dive sites with wrecks, rock formations and a rich marine fauna. In addition to moray eels, octopuses and sea bass, smaller shark species are also frequently encountered here.
Diving with catsharks
Particularly exciting is the chance to observe the small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula). This harmless shark species lives near the seabed on sandy areas and in caves. With a bit of luck, the nocturnal animals can be spotted resting during the day—a highlight for divers who want to experience sharks in their natural habitat.
