Incident near Manjack Cay
An American tourist was injured in a shark attack in the northern Bahamas on Monday afternoon. According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the incident occurred around 2 pm near Manjack Cay, a group of islands in the Abaco Islands, also known as Nunjack Cay.
The man was on a boat with friends and had one leg dangling in the water when a shark suddenly bit him. He was promptly taken to a nearby clinic, received medical treatment, and was discharged the same day.
Police withholding details
The victim’s name and age were not released by the authorities. The exact shark species responsible for the attack also remained unknown.
