The dive center offers daily boat dives, snorkeling trips, pool training, and full PADI courses up to Divemaster level. All dives are professionally supervised and, of course, insured. The house reef – Ben’s Blue Hole – is easily accessible and already offers ideal conditions for first underwater explorations.
An experienced international team supports both beginners and advanced divers, placing special emphasis on safety, professionalism, and a personalized experience.
Diving with tiger sharks – adrenaline guaranteed
A highlight for experienced divers is undoubtedly the trip to the famous Tiger Beach on the northwest coast of Grand Bahama. Here, there is the extraordinary opportunity to encounter tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) in the wild – in one of the world’s most renowned shark diving regions. These animals, which can grow over five meters long, often appear surprisingly calm and curious around divers.
The sandy seabed and excellent visibility make these encounters not only safe but also visually spectacular. The Reef Oasis Dive Club regularly organizes trips to this fascinating site, accompanied by experienced guides and shark experts who are well-versed in the animals’ behavior. In addition to the majestic tiger sharks, divers can also observe lemon sharks and nurse sharks – an experience one never forgets.
Shark Alley – home of the Caribbean reef sharks
Another must for shark enthusiasts is the dive site Shark Alley, a colorful coral reef at about 15 meters depth. Here, Caribbean reef sharks (Carcharhinus perezi) dominate the underwater scene. These fast, elegant hunters are permanent residents of the region and often appear in groups. Their confident but non-aggressive behavior is particularly impressive – they glide close to the divers without fear, but also without hurry.
Visibility in Shark Alley is generally excellent, which not only allows impressive animal encounters but also creates perfect conditions for underwater photography. Besides the sharks, divers regularly encounter large snappers, groupers, and sometimes stingrays here.
More than just sharks – training and support at the highest level
The Reef Oasis Dive Club offers not only exciting shark dives but also comprehensive training and education. Everything is possible, from beginner courses to Divemaster level – all according to PADI standards and available in several languages. Those who want to engage more deeply with the topic of sharks can participate in a special Shark Diver course, which focuses on theory, behavior analysis, and safe interaction.
All dives take place under professional supervision, with the highest safety standards and individual care being a matter of course. The equipment is modern and well-maintained, the team helpful and experienced – ideal conditions for unforgettable diving adventures.
