Diverse underwater world
The region is known for its varied dive sites with wrecks, rock formations and a diverse marine fauna. In addition to moray eels, octopuses and sea bass, divers here often encounter smaller shark species.
Diving with catsharks
Especially exciting is the chance to observe the small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula). This harmless shark species lives close to the seabed on sandy areas and in caves. With a bit of luck, the nocturnal animals can be found resting during the day – a highlight for divers who want to experience sharks in their natural environment.
