Scuba Vida is a dive base in Varadero on Cuba’s north coast. The center combines local reef, snorkelling and wreck options around Varadero with travel and tour profiles for other Cuban dive areas.
Bull sharks in Santa Lucía
For shark-focused divers, Santa Lucía in Camagüey province is the important part. Bull shark encounters concentrate near the entrance to Bahía de Nuevitas, with the strongest season described by Scuba Vida as November to April.
Typical profiles are around 18 to 32 meters. Some dives use controlled feeding managed by certified local guides, so this entry is marked as a feeding profile. Encounters remain wildlife experiences and depend on season, weather, visibility and local operation.
Varadero as a base
In Varadero itself, the focus is on shallower reefs, snorkelling tours, beginner programs, courses and wreck dives. Scuba Vida presents itself as a small, personal and eco-minded base with PSS affiliation, small groups and a strong local focus.
For a Cuba trip, Scuba Vida is therefore best understood as a versatile Varadero operator with a wider network rather than a pure house-reef shark base. Divers targeting bull sharks should plan Santa Lucía as a separate travel component and allow buffer time for conditions and logistics.
